Lennox and Addington OPP charged eight drivers with stunt driving over the weekend.
Multiple vehicles were stopped travelling at high rates of speed along Highway 401 in L&A County, and in total, eight drivers were charged with stunt driving.
All drivers stopped were travelling at speeds ranging from 152km/h to 165km/h.
Each driver received a 30-day licence suspension and a court date, and their vehicles were impounded for 14 days.
The OPP reminds the public that road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Drivers and other road users can significantly contribute to safer roads by avoiding taking unnecessary risks and complying with all traffic laws.
