Witches, vendors, live music and more will be found in the heart of Newburgh on Oct. 17 for the sixth annual Hollow’s Eve.
Happening from 3-9 p.m. at 425 Main St., the popular event will wrap up another successful season of the Hollow Square Market, which ran throughout the summer and into the autumn every other Saturday.
Over 45 local vendors will set up shop for Hollow’s Eve, with a food truck, beer garden, face painting and more. Live entertainment will include a performance by the Cauldron Sisters under the October night sky, showcasing a collection of their choreographed dances in full witch attire.
The event is fully embracing the spiritual feel of the season with psychic readings, tarot cards and astrological readings.
“We’re leaning into the spiritual side, not full on Halloween like pumpkins and ghosts,” said Alene Parr, one of the organizers behind the market. “A little bit more of that New England, Salem feel. We’re excited that we’ve found that identity and made it our own and that’s what makes this event stand out from some of the other events around this time, I think anyway.”
Live music will be featured throughout the evening with Steve Tanner, Lane Lyman and Sam Wood, followed by Never Famous.
Visitors to the market are encouraged to bring a donation for the toiletry drive with items such as toothpaste, shampoo, pyjamas and socks. The items are dispersed evenly among L&A Interval House, New Legacy Centre in Tamworth and the Cataraqui Union of Tenants.
Admission to the market is free and all ages are welcome.
